Amy Hunt ran a new PB of 12.11s to win the junior girls’ 100m at Gateshead on Saturday.

That time now puts her top of the UK rankings for her age group. What a remarkable effort in her first year in this category.

I honestly think it could not happen to a more deserving family. Many many congratulations.

Praise should also go to Zoe Lucas who also ran a PB of 14.63s in the final of the Senior girls’ 100m hurdles and finished a very creditable 4th. Well done. I am sure there is more to come.
