Parkrun is a free, timed 5k run against the clock. People sign up, print out a token and when they complete the course, it gets scanned and logged. There are now more than 4.5 million registered Parkrunners in more than twenty countries worldwide.
Members are probably aware that Grantham Athletic Club was one of the organisations that helped the Belton House Parkrun get started in the first place.
This Saturday, we’d like to get as many members, parents, supporters and coaches as possible along to Belton House Parkrun to take part, volunteer or just cheer everyone along as possible, and we’d like everyone to wear club colours to make a big colourful show of support for an event which has taken the world by storm over the past few years and which is one of the places where many will get their first taste of running.
Please be aware that under 11s must run within arms length of an accompanying adult at all times.
Belton House Parkrun starts at 09:00 sharp. Click here for details and how to get registered.
There are still volunteering opportunities for this week; check http://www.parkrun.org.uk/
