An Introduction to Sports Psychology

The Psychology of SportGAC Sprint Coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner Andy McMahon will be running ‘An Introduction to Sports Psychology’ session at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium on Trent Road on Wednesday 2nd October, from 19:00-21:30.

The session will introduce beliefs, words that change your mind set, mild hypnosis and techniques to improve your performance. Andy asks that people come with an open mind. “You alone will decide what works for you,” he says, “Not everyone is the same.” More classes will be scheduled if there is sufficient demand.

The session takes place in the Gingerbread Suite, and is aimed at all athletes of school year 8 and above.

It costs £3 to attend and is open to non-club members.

Please note there is no senior training on this date; coaches and athletes are encouraged to attend an event that will  help their performances as much as training will.

There may be some lying on the floor, so please ensure you’re dressed appropriately (tracksuits would be suitable) and bring a notepad and pen and a drink. The bar will be open.
