The Fraction starts and finishes on the track inside the South Kesteven Sports Stadium.

- Car Parking
Parking is available on site at the Stadium and Meres Leisure Centre.
Additional parking is available at the far end of the Buzz Bingo car park on Venture Way – see local signage on the day.
- Fun Run
There will be NO Fun Run in 2022.
- Refreshments
Refreshments will be available during the day in The Gingerbread, located on the upper floor of the main building, with a licensed bar open from 12 noon.
- Race Number/Chip Collection
Collection desks in The Gingerbread, open from 8:30am.
- Facilities
Toilets are located in the main building and at either ends of the grandstands – those located in the grandstands are likely to be less busy than those in the main building.
Changing facilities and showers are available in the main building.
There is also a small baggage store. Luggage labels will be issued and must be attached to each bag. The organisers do not accept responsibility for the contents of the bag.
Lincolnshire Runner will have a trade stall in the foyer.
Sports massage will be available in the Gingerbread in return for donations to this year’s chosen charities.
- Race Number
Please ensure that you secure your race number securely to the front of your running vest or top.
If you have a medical condition, please record details and an emergency contact on the back of the number. If you feel unwell before the race, or have not been well for a few days prior to the event, please do not take part.
- Chip Timing
Please fix your timing chip securely to your shoelaces using the cable tie and pull tight to secure.
To ensure you have threaded the cable tie the correct way, pull the chip and see if it comes away from the shoelace.
- The Race
The race will commence at precisely 10.30 am.
Please race on the left hand side of the road unless otherwise instructed by the Chevron Traffic Management , Police or course marshals. Please be aware of other users on the canal path,show courtesy and respect and do not impede or block the path.
Please take care when running by the water and when passing under the bridges.
For the safety of runners and other road users, the wearing of headphones (unless medically prescribed) during the race is not permitted on single carriageway roads not wholly closed to traffic. (UKA Competition rule 240 S5)
- Drink Stations
Water stations en route will be at approximately 3¾, 5¾, 8 and 10¾ miles along the route and also at the finish.
- Medical
There will be medical support on the course and at the Stadium.
If you feel unable to complete the course, please wait with a marshal.
- Finish
On entering the stadium run around the track to the finish gantry.
Please move along the funnel, return your timing chip and then collect your goody bag and t/shirt.
- Chip Collection
There will be a team helping to remove chips at the finish. If you do not finish please hand your chip to the nearest marshal or post it back to us.
- Prizes
Prizes will be presented from about 12:30 pm.
There are individual prizes for the first 3 male and females plus vets awards and spot prizes

- Prizes will be awarded based on gun times except team awards.
- One prize per individual except team awards.
- Results
Results will be posted on the web site and www.chiptiminguk.co.uk
- Cancellation
In the event of adverse weather conditions under which it is deemed unsafe to run the race, the event will be cancelled. The Race Director’s decision is final. Please note the terms and conditions of race entry.
