Training options at a glance... hover over a day above

Tuesdays: During the darker nights we stay in the town and do more quality type work. This can be a hill session, interval training, speed-work or fartlek (examples). In the summer we tend to head out of town to the quieter lanes and footpaths.

Thursdays: These training nights tend to be a general run of up to 9 miles – quite often breaking into smaller groups of varying abilities. See winter Thursday routes.

Beginners: If you are a newcomer to running or just getting back into shape Beginners Club is the ideal place to start.

Newcomers: We may only be a small bunch – but we are a very friendly bunch. All we ask is that after 4 sessions, if you feel the Club is for you, you join the Club by filling in the membership form and paying the fee. Forms can be down-loaded by following the link above or from a Club member on a training night.

Coaching: All our official training sessions are overseen by qualified and enhanced CRB checked coaches.

Weekend Runs: Although not an official club session, groups also meet at the weekends for a social countryside run. These are generally longer training runs for people building up for a half or full marathon. See the Networking or Forum pages for details.
