‘As per the latest Government announcement, all leisure venues in Tier 4 areas are to close from midnight on Wednesday 30th December.

We, therefore, must advise you that in line with the Government instructions we have temporarily closed our doors at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre, Stamford Leisure Pool, Deepings Leisure Centre, and Bourne Leisure Centre.’

This also means the SK Stadium. So, for January we will not be able to re-open our training sessions on Wednesdays. Also, the tier 4 restrictions only allow for households, support bubbles or exercise with one other person (socially distanced) in public parks and outdoor spaces. This means Friday and Sunday sessions are suspended until further notice.

I will be conversation with the leisure centre management in the new year about access to the stadium for maintenance and limited training as per the England Athletics Covid Tier 4 guidance, if the stadium can be opened up safely.

In the meantime I encourage everyone to stay safe and follow the restrictions especially with the rising infection rates. Exercise at home and outside frequently (a minimum of 10 mins a day can be beneficial, more if so motivated).

Club updates will be provided on a monthly basis through emails, website and social media.
